Marta Polovka

Clinic Director

Having worked in medical clinic environments for over 12 years, Marta knows a thing or two about running a successful clinic that provides top-notch care, is patient-focused, welcoming and open. In 2007, Marta graduated from a private program in Medical Office Administration and went on to work at one of the largest rehabilitation companies in the GTA. Her career subsequently took her to many healthcare providers and clinics, allowing her to acquire hands-on experience in all aspects of clinic management and, most importantly, to help countless patients to live their best lives. Marta knows everything about the medical industry and applies her boundless knowledge and the passion of helping people every day at Holistic Medical Clinic.

Ulyana Polovka, RSSW

Counsellor and Registered Social Service Worker

Ulyana is registered with Ontario Social Service Worker Association (OSSWA) and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She completed her studies at Humber College and is certified on CBT Intensive Training for Social Workers by OASW Learning Centre. Ulyana strives to support those in need, and the passion to help is what made her decide to become an RSSW. She has a wide variety of professional experience at non-profit organizations. Ulyana has worked in the past as a settlement worker providing referrals, conducting a needs assessment, advocating on the client’s behalf and crisis counselling. It triggered her to feel like more can be done for people, like providing individual and family counselling, help in dealing with social anxiety, help people explore personal difficulties/confusion and finding appropriate solutions. At Holistic Medical Clinic, Ulyana provides counselling, crisis intervention services and referrals to patients of all walks of life. The vision and values that Holistic Medical Clinic is carrying on is definitely something that aligns with her believes.


Antoaneta Chausheva

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Antoaneta is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and has been part of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) since 2013. She earned a Master Degree in Kinesiology from the Academy of Health and Sports in Sofia, Bulgaria. Antoaneta has over 20 years of experience working as a kinesiologist in a Military Hospital near Sofia, Bulgaria specializing in muscle and joint injuries. She also spent 5 years couching the local men’s volleyball team in her hometown of Dupnitsa leading them to Regional and National Championships. Antoaneta strives to incorporate her unique educational background and athletic experience into her practice every day. She believes that manual therapy along with patient education are at the core of any successful treatment plan. The holistic nature of restorative and preventative treatments is helpful in keeping people healthy, strong, and injury-free. As a registered massage therapist, Antoaneta strives to help patients to continue to enjoy the activities they love the most. She maintains personal interest in Sports Medicine and sports related injuries. When Antoaneta is not at the clinic, she leads a healthy lifestyle and enjoys going for walks, playing sports and spending time with her family.


Hina Jawed

Registered Physiotherapist

Hina has completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences, followed by a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She has several years of experience working in community hospitals, including Trillium Health Partners and Nova Scotia Health Authority, with complex orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. This wide range of experience helps Hina provide patients with a holistic treatment approach to managing conditions and pain. Hina helps patients to build on strengths and motivations, to support the overall quality of life. As a clinician, she is a strong advocate for ensuring people have the right support systems to help in the recovery process. For this reason, throughout the healing journey, Hina collaborates and communicates with the patient’s team of healthcare providers for a comprehensive care plan. She is passionate about her clients being active participants in their care, which means engaging them in activities meaningful to them. Outside of the clinic, Hina enjoys being a mom to beautiful twins, running, learning piano, doing nature hikes and photography. Hina is excited to be part of the rehabilitation journey and can’t wait to help patients start!


Oksana Denysenko, Student in Psychotherapy

Trauma-Focused Counselling

Oksana is completing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, holding an Emotional Focus therapy certificate and being a student member of the Canadian Counselling Psychological Association (CCPA). Oksana immigrated to Canada from Ukraine, and the adjustment process was challenging. However, the therapy process has inspired Oksana to get into psychology. Her main goal is to focus on healing the psychological trauma caused by the war in Ukraine. Oksana has proficient experience in communication services as a flight attendant and a Yoga teacher, keen on Eastern philosophy. Genuine contact and dialogue with people Oksana values much more than strategies and techniques. The human presence and willingness to listen, hear and understand is an essential part of her work. Oksana’s Ukrainian patriotism, honesty, freedom to make a choice, responsibility, and compassion perfectly describe Oksana. She likes reading and collecting books, spending time with her son, drawing and painting.


Xiao Qing Chen, RMT

Swedish Massage, Tui Na and Trigger Point Release

Xiao Qing Chen is a certified Registered Massage Therapist with The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Xiao Qing Chen has developed an interest in Massage Therapy due to his interest in the natural health care system and his love to help friends and relatives to eliminate or alleviate pain. His primary goal is to work with patients to improve their quality of life. Xiao Qing Chen was born and raised in China. He enjoys tennis, soccer, snowboarding in his spare time and always thrives on learning something new!


Natalie Velbovets


Natalie is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology obtained in Ukraine and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology obtained in Yorkville University in Canada. Natalie has a deep passion for helping people to move toward their self-understanding and growth. She strives to empower people to address such issues as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, traumatic experiences. In her practice, she uses a variety of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Brainspotting, solution-focused therapy, and attachment-based approach. At Holistic Medical Clinic, her goal is to help individuals have a more satisfying and meaningful life.


Eric Chan, RMT

Therapeutic Massage, Acupuncture, Cupping

Eric is a certified Registered Massage Therapist with CMTO and a Registered Acupuncturist with CTCMPAO. He studied massage therapy, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine both in Canada and China, taking after his father and grandfather. Originally from Hong Kong, Eric provides massage therapy, acupuncture and cupping therapy to patients at Holistic Medical Clinic. His hobbies include swimming, jogging, water sports and, of course, massage!


Jun Yang, RMT

Massage Therapist

Jun Yang is a licensed massage therapist originally from China where, growing up, he learned many holistic ways and approaches to health and wellbeing from his parents, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. Besides massage therapy, Jun is also practiced in cupping and Tuina, but at Holistic Medical Clinic he treats patients exclusively as an RMT. In his spare time, Jun enjoys reading, classical music, and sports.


Nataliya Korostenska


Natalia is a certified Osteopath registered with the Canadian Association of Osteopaths (CAO). She provides integrated manual therapy and osteopathy treatments to the patients of Holistic Medical Clinic. Helping people while getting to the root of the problem with every patient she treats is her guiding principle. Originally from Ukraine, Natalia enjoys singing, meeting new people and travelling in her spare time.


Zhifeng Zhang, R. TCM& R.Ac

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dr. Zhang is a licensed Acupuncture practitioner who also specializes in Acupressure, Cupping, and Herbs prescription. Originally from China, where he extensively studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, he now practices at Holistic Medical Clinic in Toronto. His main goal is to help his patients to overcome discomfort, alleviate pain and improve well-being through his many holistic practices. In his spare time, Dr. Zhang enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to music.


Dr. Andrew Ting, D.C.

Chiropractic Doctor

Andrew Ting, D.C., specializes in chiropractic treatments and adjustments, soft tissue therapy and custom orthotics fitting at Holistic Medical Clinic. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and is certified in chiropractic care by Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Andrew also has knowledge of acupuncture which he applies to recommend integrated therapies for his patients. His main goal as a holistic practitioner is to help patients lead better, more active lives pain-free. In his spare time, Dr. Ting enjoys nature walks and an occasional video game.


Veronika Zhmurko, MD (UA), PhD, Hom

Homeopathy Consultant

Veronika Zhmurko is a Registered Homeopath with the College of Homeopaths of Ontario (CHO). She also holds a medical degree from National Medical University in Ukraine, a PhD from the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Ukraine and has a degree in Homeopathy from the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy in Greece. Veronika loves gardening, various forms of physical activity (skiing, yoga, dance), and is constantly learning and improving her professional skills and knowledge.


Tatjana Kecman


Tatjana is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a certified Transpersonal Psychotherapist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, Tatjana has worked with refugee children and families traumatized by war, losses and existential angst. At Holistic Medical Clinic, her aim is to help her patients discover more meaningful, fulfilling and joyful existences both on an individual and a collective level. Tatjana loves art, outdoor activities, and cooking. She also practices Zen meditation.


Arkadiy Volkov


Arkadiy is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He holds a Master’s degree in counselling psychology obtained in Moscow. Since then, Arkadiy has been developing the skills and further exploring cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential and somatic approaches. He focuses on providing counselling and therapy to children, adults and couples with anxiety, critical life situations, trauma and self-realization. At Holistic Medical Clinic, he is excited about having a chance to help people hear and understand themselves and to find new meanings. Arkadiy’s interests include history, art and philosophy – psychotherapy being an intersection of all of them.


Dragica Visnjevac Fink, Ph. D., C. Psych.


Dr. Dragica Visnjevac Fink is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a member of Ontario Psychological Association specializing in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related symptoms with cognitive behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and gestalt therapy. Over the last 14 years, Dragica has acquired vast expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment and other stress-related disorders, psychotic disorders, culturally sensitive approaches in working with diverse adult populations, and assessments and treatment in the area of Forensic/Correctional Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, socializing, painting and spending time with her children.


Marie Sergiyivna Schoppen

Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Holistic Nutritionist

Marie Schoppen is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Psychotherapist providing psychotherapy and nutritional counselling to Holistic Medical Clinic patients. Born in Ukraine, Marie studied history, philosophy, and German before transitioning into psychology. She attended the University of Toronto (BA), Yorkville University (MA), Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (RHN) and Ajaraya Yoga Academy (RYT). Marie Schoppen enjoys bringing together the mind and the body, helping individuals develop an uninterrupted sense of self. Marie has personally benefitted from the incredible impact of a support network on one’s well-being, mentally and beyond. She is grateful to have the opportunity to provide care for others in need. Marie Schoppen studied history, philosophy, and German before transitioning into psychology. She adores David Bowie and Latin music; she is a huge fan of apricot cornettos and oat milk cappuccinos.
