Student Benefits: Use Them While You’ve Got Them!

If you are a full-time student, please read this!

If you know someone who is a full-time student, please share this article with them!

Did you know that students in Ontario have access to extended health benefits? Not only that, but students pay for these benefits as part of their tuition every year. Usually, these payments are mandatory. So, if you study full-time, chances are, you pay for a health plan too.

What does it mean? As a student, you likely have health, dental and paramedic coverage that goes above and beyond OHIP. Student health plans include common benefits like prescriptions, physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic, psychology, dental procedures, and vision care. While there may be limits on how much you can spend per year on specific treatments, students usually get preferred pricing as well, which is much lower than standard rates at many clinics.

Holistic Medical Clinic is part of the student provider network, accepting student health plans from all major Canadian universities. We also have special student rates that offer more than 50% savings on our services.

While we would love to have you as a patient, the point of this post is not to promote ourselves. We simply want to encourage you to take advantage of the benefits you have, while you have them! So many students we meet aren’t aware of their coverage or use it much less than they could. Once you graduate, the benefits you receive will change or discontinue, so please don’t wait.
